The Grammy Awards is given to the excellent performers in the record industry by the national Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. The Grammy Award is considered to be the most prestigious award given to the people of record industry and in respect can be favorably compared to the Academy Awards. Some of the award functions are also shown live on TV for the entertainment of the general mass. The names of the winners are only declared in the night of the event and sometimes to the utter surprise of the receiver. The judges of all the award organizations are renowned personalities from the respective field and have a better understanding of the job.
